Social Work Services
I have always been fascinated by human resilience. Considering the therapeutic relationship as being at the heart of my intervention approach, I strive to create a warm and caring space where everyone can feel welcomed and received with openness and empathy.
Therapeutic approach
My interventions are based on an eclectic model that draws on recognized approaches in psychosocial intervention such as the bio-psycho-social approach, systemic therapy, ecological approach, solution-focused therapy and third-wave cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Yoga and meditation are useful tools for stress management, and I can teach their techniques. This versatility allows me to adjust to the varied needs of my clients, implementing strategies adapted to the goals of change they wish to achieve.
Issues addressed
All destabilizing situations share in common that they generate stress, as well as physical and psychological symptoms that can be experienced as unpleasant. Here are examples of situations for which people may need to consult me as a social worker.
- Self-esteem, self-confidence, self-love
- Adapting to changes and grief such as separations, school changes, job loss, moving
- Managing emotions, stress and anxiety
- Difficult or conflictual social relationships, whether with family, friends, partners or co-workers
- Personal questioning, including the need to re-evaluate one's life and find new meaning
- Concerning consumption of alcohol and drugs
- Or any other situation that may cause personal imbalance
